Kuwait host Oman at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City on Saturday in the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup. Ranked 134th in the world, the Blue Waves are hosting the tournament for the fifth time in their history, and the first time since 2017.
They've won the championship 10 times in history, including twice on home turf in 1974 and 1990, and will be looking to win it again this year in their backyard.
However, their form hasn't been the best this year: in 15 official games this year, the side have won just once, a narrow 1-0 victory over Afghanistan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. They've also failed to win their last nine in a row.
