Luka Modric further claimed that he is happy at the club. Turning down any transfer speculation and mentioning his focus for achieving his and the club’s objectives, Modric told Sportske Novosti, "I am not interested in anyone but Real. I am too happy in Real.
"Probably there are some others [clubs] asking about me but I told my people, that take care of my career, not even to tell me the info who eventually contacted them!
"I don't want to know, I don't care. My mission is in Real as long as Real will want me."

Luka Modric is seemingly wanted by other clubs despite concerns from a few sections questioning his age. However, the 30-year-old appeared to have barely reacted to the doubts raised, instead expressing confidence in his fitness which makes him feel a couple years younger. He clarified age wouldn’t be an issue in the coming future as well, as he seems to know what it takes for a player to not be drained out even after 30.
Modric added, "I really feel like 27-28. Today players can last longer than before and the most important thing is for player how he feels. Sometimes you can be physically and specially mentally tired before you turn 30 if you don't take care of yourself and work on yourself."
Modric further expressed his intensity to achieve what has left his so far illustrious Real Madrid career rather incomplete. After four years at the club, Modric has won seven trophies including two Champions League crowns but has failed to bring home the La Liga title. Modric continued, "La Liga is the only club trophy I haven't won and four years without it is too much for a club of this level. It is time we change that."
