Valverde's side dominated, but only managed to take away 1 point from their match against Atletico Madrid

Marc-Andre ter Stegen - 7/10

The German was not to blame for Saul's sensational strike and pulled off two brilliant saves as Atletico pushed forward in the first half.

Nelson Semedo - 6/10

Semedo could have done much more going forward, particularly as Andre Gomes has a tendency to drift infield. It was still a surprise to see him taken off, however.

Samuel Umtiti - 7/10

Umtiti was fantastic once again on Saturday night, evidencing his composure both with and without the ball. A fine passer who reads the game brilliantly.

Gerard Pique - 5/10

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona - La Liga

Pique looked incredibly nervous early on and may have been affected by the boos raining down from the stands whenever he touched the ball. He was nutmegged by Griezmann for a chance in the first half, but did grow steadier as the game wore on.

Jordi Alba - 6/10

Alba played more key passes (three) than anyone else on the pitch, but he also made poor decisions in possession and hit crosses into the box far too often.

Sergio Busquets - 7/10

Evaded pressure brilliantly on more than one occasion and set the tempo from deep. He also cut off a couple of dangerous Atletico counter-attacks.

Ivan Rakitic - 6/10

This was not Rakitic's best performance, with the Croatian unable to provide the type of penetrative passing that was required to break down a stubborn defence.

Andres Iniesta - 7/10

Iniesta may be past his best, but he is still a magnificent player. The Spain international drifted past opponents and played some fine passes during his time on the pitch.

Lionel Messi - 7/10

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona - La Liga

Again given a free role, Messi caused problems with his dribbling but often found himself outnumbered by Atletico defenders. He hit the post with a free-kick in the second half but perhaps should have done better with a previous left-footed shot.

Andre Gomes - 5/10

This was another disappointing display from a player who has never looked at home at Barcelona. Deployed in the front three, Gomes was sadly anonymous.

Luis Suarez - 6/10

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona - La Liga

The Uruguay international made no mistake with his header, but until then he had offered very little. His movement and touch were not as sharp as usual.

Gerard Deulofeu - 7/10

Provided much more of a threat out on the right with his speed and direct running.

Sergi Roberto - 7/10

Delivered a terrific cross for Suarez to equalise in the final 10 minutes.
