#2. James Rodriguez
From being surplus to requirements, to starting his second consecutive home game, James Rodriguez has shown the right mentality and attitude, and it has highly reflected in the two appearances that he has made.
James played as a central attacking midfielder, behind Karim Benzema. His terrific ball-control and vision coupled with his passing ability paved the way for a more fluid offensive scheme for Zidane and the ball moved at a great pace to completely break the medium defensive block of Levante.
He assisted Benzema's second goal with a great pass and his pass to Eden Hazard was sublime, and implemented Real's high-press to perfection. He dispossessed the opponents several times and his work rate was commendable.
#1. Karim Benzema
Karim Benzema seems to be hell-bent on silencing his critics that slam him for missing chances. With 4 goals from as many league appearances, he has continued from where he left off last season. He has been the man to find the back of the net.
He linked up well with the midfield and dropped deep on occasions to build up play. His chemistry with Marcelo, Vinicius Jr., and James was nice to watch and both his finishes were neat: the first one a towering header to break the deadlock, and the second one a left-footed finish past the on-rushing keeper to double the lead. Overall a great performance from the no.9.
