Eibar football club routed struggling Granada CF 5-1 at their home ground to notch their fourth straight victory and edge a point ahead of Sevilla for sixth place in La Liga.
Sergi Enrich and Borja Baston scored two goals apiece on Monday in front of 4,215 devoted fans who ventured out to Ipurua municipal stadium on a frigid evening, reports Efe.
Eibar went into half-time leading 2-0 on goals by Inui, in the 34th minute, and Enrich, in the 37th.
Granada's El Arabi, who came on as a second-half sub, cut the hosts' lead in half with a goal in the 64th minute, but Enrich got his second of the night just two minutes later to make it 3-1.
Borja Baston rubbed salt in Granada's wounds with a pair of goals within five minutes.
With 33 points from 20 matches, Eibar trail fifth place Celta de Vigo by just a point and remain in the hunt for a possible qualification in European competitions.
Granada, who have won only one of their last 10 away matches in La Liga, have 17 points and sit 17th, a single point above the drop zone.
