Rodrygo wants to 'evolve' before joining Real Madrid

Real Madrid already have a deal in place for Rodrygo and he is set to join them this year. Los Blancos agreed a €45 million deal for him back in 2018 and the Brazilian is now eligible to join the 13-time Champions League winners.

The striker is excited to join the Spanish side but at the same time believes that he has to improve a lot more. “I must evolve my game to be at the level of the biggest club in the world. It is sad for me to leave home and to leave Santos, I am already missing it in my head but someday in the future you never know if I will return home or not,” Rodrygo said in an interview with Marca.

“Until I leave the club I am going to give everything to ensure they stay at the top of the table because the club means a lot to me and have given me so much. Jorge Sampaoli is a Coach who has given me a lot of advice on my move, he is someone with a lot of experience in Europe and he has been very helpful for me,” he added.
