Luka Modric looking for Madrid exit
Croatian ace Luka Modric is keen on a move to Inter Milan according to reports in Daily Mail. Inter have three Croatian players in their squad already and are looking to use them as bait to tempt Modric to the club.
Modric won the Golden Ball for his efforts in the World Cup and is arguably the greatest midfielder in Europe at the moment. However, Madrid might not be willing to part with the former Spurs midfielder so soon after they lost Cristiano Ronaldo.
Madrid wanted Salah to be Ronaldo's replacement
Reports have emerged today that suggested Madrid were interested in signing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo's departure. According to Spanish outlet, El Pais, Salah's representatives had a chat with Madrid officials but the player decided against a move, signing a lucrative new deal at Liverpool.
Having failed to tempt Salah away from Anfield, Madrid then turned to Eden Hazard but were met with firm resistance from Chelsea. The club are yet to make a marquee signing this window and fans are growing increasingly frustrated.
Real Madrid players worried about transfer activity
After the side's loss to Manchester United in the International Champions Cup, reports emerged that all is not well in the Real Madrid dressing room. The players have grown disillusioned with Gareth Bale, who has been tipped to be Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement, and feel that he is not a worthy enough successor to Ronaldo.
Madrid have remained largely inactive this window and that has created some tension in the dressing room.
