Real Madrid to renew Keylor Navas' contract
One player who has been linked with move away from Real Madrid for a long time has been Keylor Navas. However, if reports in ABC are to be believed, he is set to renew his contract at the club.
The report claims that his current deal expires in 2020 and Los Blancos want him to remain at the club for a longer period. ABC also states that his salary is set to increase by €1 million but have not mentioned how much his current deal earns him.
Thibaut Courtois has had a patchy start at Bernabeu and so, this is not a big surprise. The Belgian goalkeeper has not been at his best since joining from Chelsea but still, he is expected to be the #1 at the club.
Hermoso not sure of Real Madrid move
Mario Hermoso has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in January but the player claims he has no clue about it. The Espanyol defender is reportedly seen as the long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos.
“I don’t know if Real Madrid are interested in signing me, I’m very happy with Espanyol right now,” said Hermoso to Onda Cero. The Spanish giants have a €7 million buy-back clause on his contract while his release clause for other clubs stands at €40 million.
Real Madrid to hijack De Jong
Real Madrid have entered the race for Frenkie De Jong and have made his their #1 midfielder target according to SPORT. The Dutch star is seen as the ideal long-term replacement for Luka Modric by the Spanish giants.
Barcelona and Manchester City have been linked with him for a long time while Liverpool were also said to be interested in him. Juventus were the latest club to have shown interest in him but reports suggest that the Ajax star will be heading to Spain.
