Match-Fixing in LaLiga?
Shocking reports in Spain suggest that 11 arrests, including the president of SD Huesca, have been made in the last few hours. All these arrests have been made in relation to alleged match-fixing and a few Real Valladolid players have been arrested too.
Valladolid lost 2-0 to Valencia on the final day of the season and the victory helped Los Ches Els Taronges qualify for the Champions League. They were tied on points with Getafe going into the final day but knew that a win was enough because of their head-to-head advantage.
While the match was dominated by the hosts, Valladolid, the goals conceded by them got people thinking. Both goals were the result of some silly errors in defence and officials then launched an investigation.
Apart from this one game, several other games are also under the scanner and a few players from LaLiga 123 are also being investigated.
