La Liga President Javier Tebas has revealed that around 8-10 matches will be fixed in the ongoing season in its two professional divisions combined.
In a Football Conference at London, the Spanish league president who stunned the gathering by admitting to the darker issues surrounding the game, through his translator, also disclosed the fact that the fixing will either involve elements of the game or the end results.
Tebas also added that they are looking at possibilities of sanctioning a life ban to whoever is convicted of match-fixing offences. Last season’s match between Deportivo La Coruna and Levante is still under the scrutiny, according to Nzherald.
Tebas also gave away the news that a Levante player has reported an approach and the details that they have gathered leads them to Asia as the hub of all these issues.
