Chelsea ended the pre-season with a brilliant 2-1 win over Roma. It was a game of two halves, as Chelsea managed to come from behind and win the match. Erik Lamela opened the scoring courtesy of a mistake from Mark Schwarzer. Roma were totally dominant in the first half, as Chelsea struggled to create chances.
The introduction of Hazard and Lampard brought about a significant change in the second half. Lampard equalised with his usual long-range effort, while Romelu Lukaku continued his good pre-season with a late goal. Hazard was involved in both goals scored by Chelsea, and it is good to see him in this kind of form ahead of the season.
Of course, it is just a pre-season match, but it was still good to end it on a high. Winning is a habit, and it does not matter whether it is pre-season or not.
