Laurent Blanc denies he will make a move for Chelsea star Eden Hazard

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has denied he will make a move for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard this summer, insisting Hazard is a great player but not a target.

Hazard was in scintillating form last season and has been attracting attention from the big guns across Europe and Paris Saint-Germain have been one of those keeping tabs on the Belgian international.

Jose Mourinho recently admitted that he wanted to keep Eden Hazard, after previously saying that he felt the Belgian lacked some qualities in his game.

Rumours of Hazard moving seemed to be quashed when Chelsea announced recently that Hazard would be wearing the number 10 shirt at the club next season, which was vacant since Juan Mata’s departure in January. The Spaniard occupied the famous shirt for two seasons, before moving for pastures new at Manchester United.

And that has been solidified even more after Blanc denied making any approach in the future for Hazard.

Blanc told reporters: “Eden Hazard? He is a top player.

“But what is certain is that Chelsea wants to keep him.”

Hazard had a brilliant campaign for the Blues, but he was kept quiet in his national sides victory over Algeria despite assisting the winning goal.Hazard created four chances in Belgium’s game against Algeria.
