Midfielder Sami Khedira also underwent knee surgery and will be out for three months, as the club recently confirmed. To add to Maurizio Sarri's woes, Aaron Ramsey also picked up an injury during training and looks on the verge of missing out on the weekend's fixture. Douglas Costa returned to training but remains a doubt for the match.
