The Portuguese started this game on the back of a stunning hat-trick in La Liga against Alaves but looked out of sorts in the Champions League encounter. Ronaldo looked off the pace from the left wing with Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata starting in the striker's role.
Real played four forwards against Legia but apart from Gareth Bale, no one showed the brilliance to take the game away from Warsaw's reach.
Ronaldo took nine shots on Malarz's goal but only two were on target and did not trouble the Polish side’s keeper. Ronaldo’s overall effect was severely limited as it was a very quiet night for the Portuguese superstar.
