#3 Leicester City miss out on Champions League football on the last day for the second consecutive season
Leicester City lost out on a UEFA Champions League spot on the last day of the season for the second time on the trot. The Foxes lost out on a top-4 berth to Chelsea for the second season running. Last season, they lost 0-2 to Manchester United.
Brendan Rodgers has done a brilliant job at Leicester City this season. The Irishman led his side to a maiden FA Cup victory last week. Despite that, it would be heartbreaking for the Foxes to miss out on a top-4 finish despite their consistent performances all season.
#4 Jamie Vardy's brace goes in vain
Jamie Vardy scored a brace for Leicester City, but in the end, it was not enough. The Englishman won two penalties for his team and converted both to ensure Leicester City had a grip on proceedings.
Vardy glided past Tottenham Hotspur defenders at will and made it difficult for Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez. But despite the efforts of the 34-year-old, Leicester City's late implosion saw them miss out on a top-four finish.
#5 Harry Kane ends his campaign on a high
Harry Kane possibly played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur. The Englishman won his third Golden Boot after scoring 23 goals in the 2020-21 Premier League. Kane also won the Playmaker award for registering 14 assists during the league.
Kane scored one and assisted another against Leicester City to end his season on a strong note.
It remains to be seen where Spurs' premier striker Harry Kane lands up at next season.
