Robert Lewandowski‘s agent has quashed Sir Alex Ferguson’s chances of landing the Dortmund striker this summer. He did, however, confirm that the Pole is looking forward to playing in the Premier League, but didn’t mention when.
“I can tell you only one thing – Robert is interested in the future coming to the Premier League. The Premier League is very interesting for Robert. How long is the future, I cannot say to you. I think this summer is not the future,” he said.
Following Mario Gotze‘s sale to Bayern Munich, some reports emerged that Robert Lewandowski was following him to the Bavarian club too, but a source within the Munich-based club said, “The club has no contract with Robert Lewandowski.”
After this, the agent did claim that they had agreed terms with ‘another’ club, and many believed that the club was Manchester United. Sir Alex took this chance to suggest to show an interest in the striker’s services, saying:
“If the right player comes along you have to be prepared to make a move. I can find room for anybody here as long as they have the required quality. I am not sure Lewandowski will be sold to Bayern now. The Dortmund fans are not going to be happy and I don’t think they will sell to their main rivals. I think they will either let his contract run out, or sell him somewhere else.”
