The Spanish Football League has released the list of nominees for various performance awards for the Primera and Segunda division for the 2012-13 season.
Among the notable nominees are Victor Valdes, Jordi Alba, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi from Barcelona; Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Isco and Asier Illarramendi from Real Madrid, with the latter two having performed well for their previous clubs – Malaga and Real Sociedad respectively.
Chelsea loanee goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also finds his name on the list, having had a great season for Atletico Madrid.
Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo – both ex-Sevilla players who have now been purchased by Manchester City – have also been nominated.
