Libero Sports India shortlisted for the 2014 Football Business Awards

Libero Sports India, the country’s leading football consultancy, has been shortlisted for the 2014 Football Business Awards in the “Best Business Serving Football” category, highlighting the tremendous work they have done since their launch in 2010. The other organizations vying for the award are Premier League giants Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool in addition to firms such as American Express, Bloomberg Sports, Octagon and Sky Deutschland AG.

Libero Sports India, in just 4 years, has managed to establish itself as one of the top consultancy firms for investors, clubs, academies and players looking to prosper within the Indian football industry. They have collobarated with European giants like Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona in order to enable the growth of football in India and also act as representatives for 54 players, both Indian and overseas, currently plying their trade in the I-League and Indian Super League.

The Football Business Awards, which was launched in 2012, has been rewarding many of the lesser-known figures who are contributing significantly to the global football industry, and this year’s awards will once again celebrate the revolutionary change these organizations are helping bring about.

The judges include some of the game’s top administrators such as Bruce Buck (Chairman, Chelsea FC), Alistair Mackintosh (CEO, Fulham FC) and Dominic Jordan (Managing Director, Jordan Sports Partnerships).

Sukhvinder Singh, Managing Director of Libero Sports India, is delighted that they are being recognized for the work that they have been doing for football in India and hopes to see the game continue to grow in the coming years.

“To be named as the finalist in the Football Business Awards is a great honour and recognition of all the hard work and enterprise that our team put in developing a robust business model in the Indian football industry. This also indicates the arrival of India as a fast emerging market for the beautiful game in the country. It represents the immense possibilities that India has to offer while we haven’t even scratched the surface in this country of 1.2 billion people,” he said.
