Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou who now plays for Ligue 1 outfit Lille outfit has said that scoring in Premier League is easier when compared to Ligue 1.
The Ivory Coast international played for Chelsea from 2006-2012 and had raked up 36 goals in 156 appearances for the Blues.
“Here it is more tactically organised, [the defenders] observe you, they take their time, they don’t rush on anything. It makes it harder to have chances to score,” told the player to French Ligue 1 official website.
“It’s very hard. You have to be focused on scoring from the one chance you can make a difference with.”
He added, “Most of the teams that you play don’t want to lose. That’s the first option. So you don’t find the same space you find in the Premier League.
“It makes it very interesting. You have to be patient and you have to be effective, because you’re not going to have a lot of chances,” said the ex-Blues star.
