Multiple reports have emerged in Argentina claiming that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is all set to marry longtime partner Antonella Roccuzzo as early as next year. The families of both Messi and Roccuzzo have reportedly decided to formalise their relationship by next year.
At first, Pablo Varsky, a reporter for Radio Metro, claimed that the couple were set to tie the knot. Later on, EFE and other news outlets confirmed the initial report. It has been further reported that the ceremony will be held sometime in the middle of 2017 depending on the pre-season tour of Barcelona in the summer.

"The only thing I will say is that I found out by chance. But next year Argentina will be having a big party," Varsky confided on his radio show on Wednesday.
He even went on to name the place where the ceremony will take place.
"It is richly deserved, too. Everyone is invited, and the place is Rosario. I'm not sure on the date because there are three possible months. There is one strong possibility, but since I don't have it confirmed, I won't say.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Antonella Roccuzzo and Lionel Messi are getting married! It's a world exclusive."
Meanwhile, Sport have also claimed that sources close to Messi’s family have confirmed the news of the marriage.
Lionel Messi, 29 and Antonella Roccuzzo, 28 have been childhood sweethearts. They met in their neighbourhood in Rosario when they were both kids. Although a lot of circumstances changed when Messi moved to Spain in 2000, the two began their relationship a few years later.
The unfortunate death of one of Roccuzzo’s friend’s brought them back together. However, it was a well-kept secret until 2007, when Roccuzzo announced that they were indeed a couple. Three years later, she travelled to Barcelona and settled in with Messi in his new home.
The two have shared one of the most consolidated relationships in the world of football and have two children now. Thiago, who is four is the elder child while Mateo was born just last year.
Messi, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, is considered as one of the best footballers of all time. He is certainly at the peak of his career and a marriage at this point will surely be the best thing that will happen to him.
