What are the football stadiums in the 2024 Olympics?

Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024 ended with an absolute blast as Spain and Argentina went on to win the respective tournaments after more than a month of nonstop entertainment. However, the fun continues for the football fans as the Summer Olympics in Paris is on the horizon and youngsters from across the globe will fight it out to hunt for gold in Men’s and Women’s football events at the Olympics.

This time, the men’s football roster will consist of sixteen teams, divided into four groups while the women’s teams are twelve in number and divided into three groups. The groups are:

Men’s Football

· Group A: USA, France, New Zealand, Guinea

· Group B: Morocco, Argentina, Ukraine, Iran

· Group C: Spain, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Uzbekistan

· Group D: Japan, Mali, Israel, Paraguay

Women’s Football

· Group A: France, Colombia, Canada, New Zealand

· Group B: United States, Zambia, Germany, Australia

· Group C: Spain, Japan, Nigeria, Brazil

The games will be held across seven stadiums all over France. They are:

Hungary and Great Britain have won the most number of gold medals at the Olympics at three apiece. Great Britain won gold in 1900, 1908, and 1912 while Hungary found glory at the Olympics in 1952, 1964, and 1968. Hungary also won silver and bronze medals in 1972 and 1960, respectively.

Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and the Soviet Union followed them up with two gold medals each. Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Javier Mascherano won gold for La Albiceleste in 2008.
