Liverpool 2-0 Bologna: Player ratings as Mohamed Salah shines in UEFA Champions League victory

Mohamed Salah helped Liverpool secure a second consecutive victory in the UEFA Champions League at Anfield, scoring one and setting up another in a 2-0 triumph over Bologna. The Reds hosted the Serie A side on Wednesday, October 2.

Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring after 11 minutes, getting on the end of a delightful Mohamed Salah cross. The Egyptian forward looked lively and went from provider to finisher in the 75th minute, when he curled home a glorious effort to seal the win.

Alisson Becker - 8/10

The former AS Roma goalkeeper had a solid game for Liverpool and made two saves to deny the visitors in the UEFA Champions League clash. He completed six recoveries and 72% of his passes.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6.5

The England international's performance left a lot to be desired. He misplaced 10 passes and was dispossessed once in his 85 minutes on the pitch.

Ibrahima Konate - 7/10

The Frenchman had a solid game in the heart of the Liverpool defense. He completed 94% of his passes and won three duels.

Virgil van Dijk - 7.5/10

The Former Southampton star had a solid game for Liverpool alongside Konate. He completed 88% of his passes and made nine defensive actions in the game.

Andrew Robertson - 7/10

The Scottish defender put in a fine performance in the 72 minutes he spent on the pitch. He completed 25 out of 28 passes, lost four duels, but recovered possession twice for Liverpool.

Ryan Gravenberch - 8/10

Gravenberch again impressed in the Arne Slot era for Liverpool. He completed 41 passes and made nine recoveries in the game.

Alexis Mac Allister - 8.5/10

The World Cup-winning midfielder was in fine form for the hosts and bagged a goal for his efforts after connecting with a Mohamed Salah cross early in the game. He completed 90% of his passes and made five recoveries and three interceptions.

Mohamed Salah - 9/10

Mohamed Salah was brilliant for Liverpool and was the trump card for Arne Slot's team. He bagged a goal and an assist.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 8/10

The former RB Leipzig midfielder had a solid game and set up Mohamed Salah in the second half to secure the win. He made four recoveries and won five duels in a solid performance for the team.

Luis Diaz - 7/10

The Colombian forward completed the most dribbles in the game (5). He also won the most duels in the game (11) but had the ignominy of losing the most duels as well (13).

Darwin Nunez - 5/10

Darwin Nunez was the weak link in the Reds' attack. He completed a paltry 33% of his passes and was caught offside once before he was hooked in the 61st minute.

Liverpool Substitutes

Diogo Jota - 6/10

Diogo Jota came on for 29 minutes to replace Nunez, but did not have much of an impact.

Konstantinos Tsimikas - 6/10

The defender came on for 18 minutes and helped his side see out the victory and secure the clean sheet. He completed 10 passes in the game.

Cody Gakpo- 6.5/10

The Dutchman came on for 18 minutes and was a decent addition to the game. He completed all four passes he attempted, won two tackles, and made two recoveries in the game.

Bradley came on late in the game and did not have enough time to affect the match

Jones came on late and did not have enough time to affect the match.
