Liverpool 2-2 Manchester United: Player ratings as Red Devils end 5-game losing streak

Manchester United held their heads up and finally gave a good account of themselves in their game against Liverpool to end their five-game losing run with a 2-2 draw. Ruben Amorim's side gave a strong account of themselves on the road to their greatest rivals with a valiant performance.

Lisandro Martinez opened the scoring in the 52nd minute after being played in by captain Bruno Fernandes. The hosts restored parity in the 59th minute through a fine Cody Gakpo strike.

Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt handled the ball in the box to allow Mohamed Salah to give the hosts the lead in the 70th minute. Amad Diallo drew Manchester United level with a tidy finish in the 80th minute.

Andre Onana - 6.5/10

The former Ajax keeper was decent in the game for the Red Devils. He made four saves but conceded twice in the game.

Harry Maguire - 7/10

The English defender had a fine game in the heart of the Manchester United defense. He made seven clearances and missed a last-minute chance to win the game for the visitors.

Matthijs de Ligt - 5/10

The former Bayern Munich star was at the center of every goal Liverpool scored. He was beaten too easily for Cody Gakpo’s equalizer and handled the ball for Salah’s penalty.

Lisandro Martinez - 8/10

The Argentine star had an impressive game for the Red Devils and marked the occasion with a fine goal. He also made three recoveries and won three duels.

Diogo Dalot - 7/10

The Portuguese star looked dangerous and competent in the match against Liverpool. He made eight recoveries and won four duels.

Noussair Mazraoui- 7/10

The Moroccan defender was impressive at Anfield for Ruben Amorim's side. He won all three duels he got into in the match

Manuel Ugarte - 7.5/10

The former Paris Saint-Germain star put on a strong performance for his side at Anfield. He had the most tackles in the match (3) and made five recoveries.

Kobbie Mainoo - 7/10

The English midfielder was solid alongside the beating heart of the Manchester United midfield, Manuel Ugarte. He lost the most duels in the game (10) and won two out of four attempted tackles.

Amad Diallo- 7.5/10

The Ivory Coast star continues to cement himself as the main man of the Ruben Amorim era. He bagged a goal in the match to draw the tie level and was the most accurate passer on the pitch after completing 93% of his 30 passes, all while having the fewest touches among any player to play 90 minutes (42).

Bruno Fernandes - 8.5/10

The Manchester United captain was unplayable and simply irresistible against Liverpool at Anfield. He provided an assist after creating the most chances in the game (4) and won the third-most duels in the game (11).

Rasmus Hojlund- 6.5/10

The Danish striker left a lot to be desired despite putting in a fine shift for 86 minutes. He will hope to provide a more potent goal threat in his next game.
