Liverpool v Barcelona - UEFA Champions League Semi Final: Second Leg
Liverpool were without Roberto Firmino once again, and Jurgen Klopp decided to go with young Origi to spearhead the attack on the night. The Belgian might have been nervous on the night, because there was a lot to achieve. The task at hand was next to impossible, and he also had to stand in for Liverpool’s regular striker. However, once the game started, Origi looked like he was born for nights like this.

In the 7th minute, Origi had given the home team the ray of hope they needed in the night. After Ter Stegen made a save from Henderson, the Belgian was in the right place at the right time to score the opening goal. From then on, the Barcelona defence struggled to deal with Origi. He was fast, he was full of trickery and he held the ball well. And in the 79th minute, he blew the lid off Anfield.
Credit must go to Alexander-Arnold for his quick thinking from the corner. Before Barcelona knew it, Origi had connected to a quick corner and scored the winner. It turned out to be the goal that sent Liverpool into the final.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
