Arsenal to line up shock attempt for Marco Asensio

As per reports in the Metro, English Premier League giants Arsenal are set to stun the world with an astonishing last-minute £75 million bid for Real Madrid's sensational midfielder Marco Asensio.

The Spaniard has been dubbed the next big thing in world football after his dizzying rise to prominence. Despite being expected to sign a new contract soon, Asensio is said to be growing concerned over his play time, with manager Zinedine Zidane favouring a rotational policy. With a host of world-class midfielders to compete with a Madrid, the 21-year old might favour a move to England instead.

Liverpool agree to negotiate a move for Coutinho

In what has turned out to be one of the most intensely discussed transfer sagas of the summer, the Coutinho situation seems to have taken yet another turn. Reports emerging from Europe suggest that Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, and Coutinho’s representatives had a meeting on Friday night and have reportedly eased the deadlock.

Despite insisting on keeping the Brazilian ace, Liverpool, it seems, are finally willing to negotiate a deal for Coutinho after the 25-year old requested permission to leave. The Merseyside club have resigned to selling their talisman and consider a 4th bid from Barcelona should they make another approach.
