Ligue 1 and the rest of the World
Kylian Mbappe returns to Monaco squad
One of world football's most promising prospects, Kylian Mbappe has stolen the show this summer after intense speculation of a potential move has taken over the world. Despite initially looking like he was headed to Real Madrid, the Los Blancos eventually cooled their interest, allowing Paris Saint-Germain to become top contenders for the Frenchman.
Mbappe is understood to be keen on moving back to Paris to play for his hometown club, has requested a transfer. Reports from The Guardian suggest that the two clubs have agreed on a reported fee of €155 million, with talks being held up because of Financial Fair Play issues, forcing the 18-year old striker to return to training with the Monaco squad.
Notably, PSG have already splurged north of £200 million on Neymar this summer.
PSV agree to sell Santiago Arias
The Dutch club have agreed to sell the Arias, but interested parties will have to cough up a hefty amount, claim reports. The 25-year old has attracted attention from English Premier League side Swansea, who had reportedly made an offer of £7 million, including add-ons for the Colombian.
The Sun have reported that PSV have rejected the offer, but have countered with a £12 million demand, suggesting that they are open to selling the right-back for the right price. Swansea are currently evaluating the demand and are expected to reply soon.
Monaco to bid for Islam Slimani if Mbappe leaves
The Ligue 1 champions will face an uphill battle as they try to retain the coveted league title this season. With a number of their first team players departing the club, the French side are desperately trying to hold on to Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year old, however, is believed to be on the verge of completing a move to Paris Saint-Germain, and Sky Sources claim that Monaco aren't wasting any time in lining up replacements and will make a move for Leicester City's striker - Islam Slimani if they lose Mbappe.
