Ahmet Bulut, the agent of Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan landed a big blow to the hopes and aspirations of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal amongst others in their pursuit of his client.
In a recent interview Bulut said: "Arda is training with his team. We aren't thinking about leaving right now, he is happy at Atletico Madrid."
Turan has been the subject of much transfer speculation in English paper with Liverpool leading the queue. Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with the Turkish midfielder. However, a move to the Emirates looks particularly unlikely as the Gunners seem to be well equipped at the middle of the park.
The Turkish international who has just returned for pre-season training with the Atletico squad is believed to have purchased a mansion worth £800,000 in the Salamanca district of Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
This latest purchase to go along with his agent’s statement seems to have put cold water on plans for the Premier League sides over making a move for him.
Many believed that financial woes might force Atletico to move their asset if a good fee was realised. However, with the recent sales of Diego Costa and Filipe Lopez to Chelsea, those fears might have been alleviated.
