Liverpool keeping tabs on Hatem Ben Arfa

The French player has attracted interest from Liverpool as they prepare a £20m bid in an attempt to sign him.

Ben Arfa, 25, currently sidelined due to an injury, is a key part of Newcastle United and Alan Pardew is expected to offer him a new contract in the hopes to keep him at St James Park.

PSG are also linked with the player and Ben Arfa has also expressed his desire of playing at the French club.

With Newcastle spending heavily in the winter, it would be interesting to see if they would agree for the transfer fee as they had got him only for 7 million pounds from Marseille .

With Raheem Sterling’s drop in form, Rodgers is keen on bolstering his attack. Apparently, Oussama Assaidi is not considered as a long term plan having failed to cement a regular spot in the starting eleven so there may well be room for the addition of Hatem Ben Arfa.
