Mohamed Salah is set to turn down advances from Chelsea and Manchester United in favour of a move to Liverpool instead, report The Express.
The ‘Egyptian Messi’ has been linked with some of England’s top sides this season due to his superb performances in Europe, he looks set to make the move across the continent in January.
According to his former teammate Mohamed Zika, Salah will join Liverpool in next month’s transfer window.
The 21-year-old Egyptian is likely to fetch around £10 million and it seems the Reds are poised to clinch his signature.
“Yes, I am 99% sure this will happen,” Zika said on Egyptian TV.
“He makes us and all of Egypt proud. Everybody talks about Mohamed Salah now – and aside from that he’s my friend.
“I’m very happy for him.”
Raheem Sterling has been in and out of the Liverpool side this season and is still a raw talent so it is thought that Brendan Rodgers wants to sign a player who will give the side and immediate impact.
