Polish central midfielder, Piotr Zielinski, who is on the radar of English giants Liverpool, Italian giants Napoli and more is said to have agreed personal terms with the Serie A club according to various reports.
The 22-year-old was subject to a €12 million bid by Liverpool earlier this week but has since accepted the offer of Napoli. Jurgen Klopp is supposedly interested in signing multiple midfielders this summer after failing to be impressed by any of his current crop including the likes of James Milner, Emre Can and Lucas Leiva.
Zielinski is a central midfielder by talent but is often used in attacking positions by his club due to his vision and ability to supply an accurate pass in the final third. His speed and dribbling ability is what has caught the eye of multiple clubs around Europe.
Napoli are in the market for an attacking midfielder as they look to shake things up and give superstar Marik Hamsek the right teammates to push themselves up the table. Having lead the table for a long period of time in the earlier parts of the season, their title challenge fell apart just as Juventus started sorting themselves out.
Last season, Zielinski scored five goals for Empoli and assisted a further four more. For a 22-year-old attacking midfielder in a team like Empoli, those are impressive figures and he seems to have the drive, talent and vision to succeed at a bigger club.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to change a lot at Liverpool this season. While he has the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino to select, he's adamant to add more attacking players as well as defensive players – having gotten frustrated with the inconsistency with the likes of Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel.
