Liverpool to make a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
According to several reports in England, Liverpool are now considering entering the race for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international has been at the heart of a few of disciplinary issues with the Bundesliga outfit this season and reportedly believes that his time in Germany could be coming to an end.
Aubameyang is being courted by a number of clubs in Europe and recently turned down a big money move to China with Guangzhou Evergrande. The striker has managed to score 13 goals in just 15 appearances in the Bundesliga this season but it is believed that he is unhappy at the club and is willing to force his way out of the club if necessary.
The 28-year-old has now emerged as a target for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool with the latter bringing out the best in the African during his time under the former Dortmund manager.
There have been persistent rumours about Dortmund not being happy with Aubameyang's disciplinary record and if reports are to be believed, the Bundesliga giants are willing to listen to offers around the £70 million mark.
Roberto Firmino to be offered a lifetime contract at Anfield
Liverpool want their star striker Roberto Firmino to stay at Anfield until the end of his career, according to The Telegraph. The Reds are reportedly willing to offer the Brazilian a lifetime contract to try and keep him at the club as they continue to make efforts to regain the long-lost glory of the good old days.
Klopp is reportedly a staunch admirer of the player and wants to keep him at the club for as long as he can at this point of time.
Firmino has been in scintillating form for the Reds this season, having already scored 16 goals in all competitions, only behind Mohamed Salah, who is currently Liverpool's top-scorer of the season.
The 26-year-old is currently tied down to a contract that keeps him at the club until 2022 and with the recent departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, it is now believed that Firmino will be one of the highest beneficiaries of the £142 million deal that took place a few days ago.
While the exact figures of Firmino's bumper contract is yet to be revealed, it is almost as clear as daylight that the club will make him one of the highest paid players in the history of the club.
Leipzig will demand £13 million more to let Naby Keita leave in January
According to Sky sources, Liverpool will have to pay an additional £13 million or more, to RB Leipzig if they want to bring Naby Keita to Anfield in the January transfer window. The Reds had triggered the midfielder's release clause of £48 million in the summer but the clubs agreed on a deal that would only let Keita move to Anfield at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
However, with the recent developments at Liverpool that include Philippe Coutinho's expected departure to the Nou Camp and Emre Can's refusal to sign a new contract with the club, it is now believed that Jurgen Klopp is considering a swoop for Keita as early as in January.
Leipzig have revealed that they will demand a fee ranging in between £13.2 million and £17.7 million if they are to let go of their prized asset this month, which means that Keita's fee would rise to a whopping £70 million including add-ons if Liverpool decide to go ahead with it.
