Liverpool to go for Gianluigi Buffon

After the iconic goalkeeper recently announced that he will be leaving Juventus this summer, high-profile clubs have been linked with Gianluigi Buffon over the past couple of days. According to reports from The Sun, Liverpool are amongst those clubs and will be looking to get the 40-year-old onboard for the upcoming season.

With Simon Mignolet losing his place in the first team and Loris Karius struggling to retain solidarity and assurance with the gloves, Jurgen Klopp will be looking to get a strong goalkeeper to Anfield. With his experience and understanding of the game, Buffon is a perfect candidate for the job. However, to secure his place in the side, the Reds will have to face stiff competition from various European giants, including the PL holders, Manchester City.

Isaac Christie-Davies to sign for Liverpool

Chelsea midfielder, Isaac Christie-Davies, is set to join Liverpool on a free transfer after being released by the 2017 champions this season, as reported by ESPN FC. The 20-year-old was not offered a new deal by the Blues and moved to Anfield for trials a couple of months ago.

He seems to have done enough to impress those in charge with the Reds, as they have decided to offer him a contract in the upcoming transfer window, which has officially begun on Thursday (May 17).

Emre Can to complete Juventus move

Serie A Champions, Juventus, have succeeded in their pursuit of Emre Can from Liverpool, according to reports from the Daily Star. The central midfielder is reported to have signed a five-year deal with the Italian side, wherein his annual income will amount to five million Euros plus bonuses.

The German international's contract with the Reds was to expire at the end of the season, and despite repeated meetings between his representatives and the club, they could not find middle ground as to extend his stay at Anfield.
