1) AS Roma's Monchi clarifies Alisson Becker's situation
The Roma no.1 is having a stellar season and is being tipped with a big move in the summer. The fact that he is Brazil no.1 despite the presence of Manchester City's Ederson speaks volumes about his ability and temperament.
The 25-year old has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool and now their sporting director Monchi addressed the situation where he said:
“I am honestly a little tired of talking about Alisson’s future, as I get asked this in every interview now. We have not received any offers and have no intention of selling. We are happy to have Alisson, we want to enjoy him. I don’t want to name a hypothetical price-tag for him, because when someone doesn’t want to sell, he doesn’t name a price."
Thus, Monchi makes it pretty clear that they are intending to keep their star player. This makes it difficult for Liverpool to sign Alisson but Loris Karius' form will give Jurgen Klopp hope even if they fail to land the goalkeeper.
2) Spanish football expert confirms Liverpool interest in Ferran Torres
The 18-year-old attacker has risen to the fore as he became a regular part of Valencia's first-team this season. His performances have naturally caught the attention of top clubs and reputed Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague, confirmed Liverpool's interest by saying:
"He is 19 years old and did very well against France in the international break for Spain Under-19s even though they did not make the European Championships. He was the best player for Spain at Under-19 level and the only one playing regularly in the top division."
"He has played six out of the last seven games, 11 in total this season, and quite clearly Valencia want to keep him. They renewed his contract until 2020 and put in a buyout clause of 25m euros, but Liverpool and others are keeping a close eye on him. He is a dribbler, fast on the wing, can play on either wing, and he has got ability and intelligence. He can also play inside if needed, so he is a modern winger."
Thus, the Spaniard's skill-set and versatility will definitely help him fit Klopp's system and he can learn from one of the world's best in Mohamed Salah. Further, Ferran's surname is bound to get him a lot of admirers around Anfield from the get-go and he could prove to be a solid acquisition to the squad.
3) Javi Garcia willing to let Doucoure join Liverpool
The Watford midfielder has been given the encouragement by his manager Javi Garcia regarding a move to Anfield after the player expressed his desire to join the Merseyside club. The Hornets boss said:
"If there is an offer, we will discuss to find the best solution. Everyone wants to play in the Champions League, the big competitions. He is playing now for a big, big club - Watford."
"Maybe in the future, he can play for another big club who plays in the Champions League. But I would like him to play in the future for Watford in Europe. I'm sure Doucoure will help us with his best attitude until the end of the season. Then we will see what happens. I would like him to stay with us for a long time."
Thus, Garcia all but admits that he will not stand in the way of the player should an offer arise. It remains to be seen whether Klopp will be interested in signing him with the likes of Naby Keita joining in the summer.
