Liverpool Transfers: 5 possible targets for Kenny Dalglish

It has been an upturn of fortunes for The Reds in the past 6 months. Having recruited Steward Downing,Jordan Henderson,Craig Bellamy,Charlie Adam,and Jose Enrique in the summer,and with the support of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll upfront,they looked like a serious title contender. How wrong they were. Home draws against Manchester United and premier league newcomers Swansea and Norwich proved how blunt their attacking unit is. It’s absolutely clear that Liverpool need few more signings to compete with the Chelsea and the Manchester club. Here are some possible target for Kenny Dalglish to improve their current squad.

1)Ryad Boudebouz-This 21 year old winger from Sochaux is clearly what Kenny need. During the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Boudebouz showed glimpses of his potential during Algeria’s turgid 0-0 draw with England. He finished last season with 8 goals and 8 assist to name,he seemed to have finally found an end product to go with his skill and technical ability. What he’s lacking is what Liverpool need the most,prowess infront of goal.

2)Ezequiel Lavezzi-The Argentine striker is playing for currently Napoli. The Argentina international has been at Napoli since 2007 and has scored 35 goals in 122 Serie A appearances,a decent record for a striker. He would terrorize oppositions defence with the support of Suarez. Besides that,he has also refused to distance himself with a move away from the club,so it might be a chance for Kenny to throw a deal and sign him.

3)Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva-Sao paulo’s starlet has been in impressive form this season,and has made a breakthrough into the Brazillian Squad,winning 10 caps to his name up to date. A string of eye-catching performances has won him admirers all around Europe. He might provide creativity in Liverpool’s midfield which is lacking after Xabi Alonso’s departure to Real Madrid. Kenny Dalglish is already thought to be courting the midfielder, with reports earlier in the month that Liverpool were considering a £20 million move for the player.

4)David Villa-Should I say,a suprise transfer target for Liverpool . A team which was chasing after the likes of Charlton Cole and Bobby Zamora last season are after Spain’s all time top scorer. A complete striker,who might give Liverpool the cutting edge they need. There’s no doubt about his goal scoring ability,50 goals in 80 games for Spain might just prove it. The goals-to-games ratio he has achieved for the national team has not been matched by any player since Alfredo Di Stefano. Having Pepe Reina in the squad might help The Reds to convince him to make a move. Rival teams have to worry if Liverpool mange to sign him.

5)Gary Cahill-Liverpool’s back four have been very fragile this season. They have really struggled to keep a clean sheet. Certainly Carragher is not as good as he was once,he’s ageing and Liverpool has to find a perfect replacement. Gary Cahill might just be the perfect one to reduce their defensive woes. He has already scored 12 goals for Bolton Wanderers so far,an amazing record for a defender. . Bolton’s poor performance in the league might just make way for Cahill to move Liverpool.
