The drama of Champions League nights will continue as Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will host Portuguese giants, FC Porto on Tuesday night in the first leg of their quarter-final encounters. The Reds will be looking forward to continuing their extraordinary run in the competition while Porto, who defeated AS Roma in their last Champions League fixture will be ready for the challenge.
Team news:
Jurgen Klopp is set to miss the likes of Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez due to injury issues, while their left-back, Andrew Robertson is suspended for the first leg after picking up too many yellow cards.
On the other hand, Porto could miss four of their players, with the likes of Vincent Aboubakar and Alex Telles still nursing injuries, while superstars like Pepe and Hector Herrera will miss the match due to suspensions.
Liverpool's Predicted XI (4-3-3):
Jurgen Klopp is likely to launch his team in his regular 4-3-3 formation. Alisson Becker could start as the goalkeeper. The Brazilian shot-stopper has made 33 appearances for Liverpool this season, keeping 17 clean sheets and conceding only 20 goals for his team in the process.
At the back, Virgil Van-Dijk could pair up with Joel Matip. In the absence of Robertson, Moreno could play as a left fullback, while Alexander-Arnold is likely to feature on the right flank at Anfield.
Henderson could be lined up with the likes of Wijnaldum and Milner in the center of the pitch while in attack, Roberto Firmino will definitely start as the central forward with Mohammed Salah to his right and Sadio Mane to his left.
Porto's Predicted XI (4-4-2):
The visitors could come with a defensive 4-4-2 and try to beat the home side with the help of counter-attacking football. Former Real Madrid superstar Iker Casillas is set to start the match under Porto's bars.
Eder Militao, who will join Real Madrid in the next Summer, could start the match alongside Felipe. Sergio Conceicao could bring his four midfielders to stop Liverpool's domination; Otavio, Oliver, Pereira and Brahimi are likely to be lined up against the Reds.
Porto's highest goalscorer this season, Tiquinho could make another start as the centre striker with Moussa Marega in the supporting role.
