Wijnaldum moved to Liverpool in 2016 after a stunning season for Newcastle United. The Dutch international has made 69 Premier League appearances for Liverpool is his last two seasons at the club. Primarily a midfielder, Wijnaldum likes to go forward and contribute a lot to his teams attacking play.
Xherdan Shaqiri, £90,000 per week
Having made his first-team debut for Basel at the age of 17, the Switzerland international played some excellent football as a teenager. Though his Bayern career did not turn out like he expected, he resurrected his career at Stoke City. With Ox injured, Shaqiri could play a huge role at Anfield this season.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, £90,000 per week
The former Arsenal and Southampton star made his Premier League debut at the age of 17. During his six-year spell at the Emirates, he has played 198 games and scored 20 goals. The 25-year-old is currently out with a severe knee injury and will miss a majority of the 2018/19 season. He played 42 games in all competitions for Liverpool last season and scored five times.
Fabinho, £100,000 per week
The Brazilian was one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 for Monaco and made his move to Liverpool this summer. A versatile player, Fabinho can also play as a right-back. The 24-year-old played brilliantly for Monaco and starred in their Ligue 1 title win during the 2016/17 season.
