Jordan Henderson plays the role of a defensive midfielder at Liverpool. Primarily a box-to-box midfielder, Henderson works really hard in the middle of the park and brings a lot of energy to the team. The 28-year-old England international has played 284 competitive games for Liverpool so far.

Alisson Becker, £120,000 per week

He held the record as the most expensive goalkeeper in the world until it was broken by Kepa Arrizabalaga. Alisson Becker was superb for AS Roma last season and played a huge role in their run to the UEFA Champions League semifinals. He was arguably the best goalkeeper in Serie A and replaced Loris Karius as Liverpool’s no.1.

James Milner, £120,000 per week

He is the most experienced player in the Liverpool squad at the moment. James Milner has played 495 Premier League games in his career so far and scored 51 goals. The 32-year-old but can occupy several midfield positions. He is good with set-pieces and his work rate is exceptional.

Naby Keita, £120,000 per week

Liverpool paid a huge £53 million to sign him from RB Leipzig this summer. He was one of the best midfielders in German football for quite some time with 17 goals in 71 appearances for his former team. A typical box-to-box midfielder, Keita is regarded a lot for his vision, passing, and ability to read the game.
