French striker Loic Remy has unwittingly made himself a target of the rumour mongers after he was spotted at the Emirates watching Arsenal beat West Brom 1-0 courtesy of his fellow countryman Olivier Giroud’s goal.
The Queens Park Rangers striker, who was loaned out to Newcastle for the rest of the season following his parent club’s relegation, has netted 14 Premier League goals this season making him a target for several top clubs.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp confessed that Remy has a buy out clause in his contract and stated: “It’ll be difficult to keep him now”.
“I don’t even know what the deal is, or what the buy-out clause is,” he went on, all but conceding that Remy will be sold by the London club this summer.
The 27-year-old had previously stated that he wished to play for one of the big clubs before he hangs up his boots and if all goes well in the summer he may get what he wished for.
Arsene Wenger however did not get involved and joked in the press conference saying, “I have just been informed Loic Remy was here, I honestly did not know. I hope he paid for his ticket!”
