Cristiano Ronaldo became only the 5th player to score a LaLiga hat-trick in the Madrid derby when he netted thrice for Real Madrid in a 4-1 victory at Atlético in 2011-12.

It marked the first time in 59 years that a Madrid player had netted a LaLiga hat-trick against the Rojiblancos.

Ronaldo followed up on his feat by scoring all three goals against Atlético in a 2016-17 LaLiga game. This made the Portuguese forward the only player to score two LaLiga hat-tricks in the history of the Madrid derby.

Ronaldo, who also has two Champions League hat-tricks against Atlético, is the all-time LaLiga record holder with 34 hat-tricks.

#4 Baltazar (Atlético Madrid)

Baltazar became the second Atléti player to net a LaLiga hat-trick in the Madrid derby when he scored all three goals in Atlético's 3-3 home draw with Real Madrid in the 1988-89 season.

In the process, the Brazilian became the second non-Spanish player to score three goals in a Madrid derby in the LaLiga.

This also marked the only instance of the scorer of a LaLiga hat-trick in the Madrid derby not ending up on the winning side. Atlético and Real Madrid shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller at Atléti's erstwhile Vicente Calderón home ground.
