Louis van Gaal, who is rumoured to become the new Manchester United manager, is ready to keep the ‘Class of ’92? at the club in a coaching capacity.
David Moyes was sacked earlier this week after a tumultuous 10 months in charge following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement. Ryan Giggs, who was working as a coach under Moyes, is now in temporary charge with the helping hands of Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville.
A lot of the Class of ’92 are in charge until the end of the season with van Gaal set to come into the job after he finishes his time in charge of the Netherlands national side after the World Cup. Although United have denied that terms have been agreed with the Dutchman,
And, according to the Daily Mail, van Gaal is keen to keep Giggs, Butt, Scholes and Neville at the club to assist in coaching the first-team.
Indeed, Giggs’ future is still unsure as he was expected to retire this summer but there has still been no confirmation of his plans.
Van Gaal has won 61% of his games as a manager.
