Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was left fuming after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho spoke negatively about Neymar in an attempt to gain the goodwill of the referees in the Champions League, Mirror Football reports.

Mourinho launched a scathing attack against the Barcelona striker and accused him of diving in last week’s Champions League match against Celtic. AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli was also not spared from Mourinho’s wrath.

But Scolari, who had a brief stint as Chelsea manager, said that Mourinho was playing mind games with Barcelona in case his team clash with the Spanish champions in the Champions League.

“Mourinho has his own interests and I think he is now playing games so he’ll have an explanation if Barcelona and Chelsea face each other,” he said.

“Don’t get me wrong, but Neymar falls down the same as any other player. Chelsea players also fall down.”

Scolari stated that Liverpool’s Lucas Levia will feature for Brazil, who clash with South Korea in Seoul today.

“There will be enough opportunities for Lucas in the future,” he said. “I’m still watching him. Not only Lucas but also the other players who can play if they prove that they deserve it. I always want to see 100 per cent from my players.”
