One of the most long drawn-out transfer sagas since the past couple of summers is about to come to its conclusion. Sky Sports have announced that, Tottenham Hotspurs are reported to have agreed to a fee, believed to be in the region of £23.5m with Real Madrid for Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric. The 26 year old Croat will fly into Madrid on Thursday to finalize his move with the La Liga champions.
This move could enable the North London club to permanently sign Manchester City’s Togolese striker, Emmanuel Adebayor. A fee had been agreed with Man City, but the deal was held up because of Adebayor’s wage demands.
Also, Spurs could look to sign Yann M’Vila as a replacement for the outgoing Luka Modric. The highly rated French international is also coveted by fellow North London giants, Arsenal FC.
