Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that his star forward Lukas Podolski would be out for eight to ten weeks due to an injury sustained during their Champions League play-offs against Fenarbahce.
But the story has intensified as it is being said that after German national team’s test on the player’s hamstring injury have reported that the Arsenal No.9 could actually be out for a period of three months.
Dr Hans-Muller Wohlfahrt, who carried out the test on behalf of the Gunners, has coneyed the news to Arsene Wenger.
Podolksi said: “Unfortunately I’ll be out a long while, around three months.”
This latest news would be a huge blow for Arsenal’s Premier League and Champions League campaign but the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil hours before the end of the transfer window, possibly lightens the mood.
