The BBC believe that Southampton left-back Luke Shaw will undergo a medical at Manchester United imminently ahead of a move to the club. Furthermore, reports suggest that Man United and Southampton have agreed a fee too.
BBC Solent are reporting that Shaw, who has long been linked with a move to United, will have a medical “very soon” and that the move is edging closer to completion. Having given the all-clear for Shaw to take part in a medical, it is likely that the two clubs have agreed a fee for the 18-year-old left-back, meaning that the England defender will become United’s second signing of the summer, following the signing of Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera.
Shaw has been linked with a move for most of the summer, with fees of up to £34 million reported, but progress appears to have been made since the full-back arrived back in the country following England’s World Cup exit.
Earning his place in England’s World Cup squad ahead of Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole, Shaw made 35 Premier League appearances last season, creating 33 chances.
