Man City to organise physiotherapy conference in Ghana

Accra (Ghana), Jan 31 (IANS) The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced that they were collaborating with English Premiership side Manchester City to organise a physiotherapy conference for Ghanaian officials.

The English champions will be sending one of their head physiotherapists to organise the seminar in Ghana Feb 10, the GFA said in a statement Wednesday, reports Xinhua.

The conference is part of the agreement signed between the GFA and Manchester City in United Kingdom last November. The partnership reached with the English side will see Ghana benefit in the areas of youth development, coaching and commerce, also allowing the Manchester City officials to visit Ghana to see other areas of cooperation.

Sixteen physiotherapists from clubs in the Ghana Premier League, eight physiotherapists and eight doctors from all national teams will be attending the conference. The GFA-Manchester City partnership has been touted as the first of its kind between a football association in Africa and an English club.
