Man United to break British transfer record for Dybala
Manchester United are prepared to offer £155million for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala next season as they continue their rebuilding phase under Jose Mourinho.
According to The Mirror, United are confident that by paying £155million, they will activate Dybala's release clause and Juventus will be left powerless in stopping the Argentine from leaving.
Football Italia reckons Ed Woodward's close relationship with Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has made Man United the favourites to sign Dybala ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Woodward has already informed Dybala's entourage of Jose Mourinho's interest in the player and how the striker would be the main man at Old Trafford if and when he decides to quit Juventus.
Ozil back on Fenerbahce's radar
Arsenal's Mesut Ozil is once again a transfer target for the Super Lig side Fenerbahce according to the reports from Turkish Football.
The news has come following the announcement of Ali Koc's decision to run for Presidency next summer.
Koc has been very outspoken in the past about making Ozil his first signing if he gets elected as the club President.
Turkish Football claims Ozil's camp held talks with Koc in previous seasons about a possible switch to Turkey and a possible deal could be in place following a change of ownership at Fenerbahce.
This may impact Ozil's rumoured move to Manchester United after the German playmaker was heavily linked with a reunion with his former manager Jose Mourinho.
Ozil has less than 12 months left on his contract and is yet to agree on an extension with Arsenal and is likely to leave as a free agent next summer.
According to the sources close to the player, Ozil wants to play for Manchester United and The Red Devils would welcome the move as well given Ozil's match-winning abilities.
United to trigger Shaw's contract extension
Manchester United have taken the decision to activate Luke Shaw's one-year contract extension which will most certainly keep him at the club until 2019, reports ESPN.
Shaw's contract was due to expire next summer and despite the lack of playing time, Mourinho is ready to show faith in Shaw and offer him an extra year under his management.
Shaw made his comeback to the playing XI last week in the League Cup match vs Burton where he came on for the second half.
Daily Express, however, seem to think that United are only offering Shaw the extension so that the English international can be put on a transfer list next summer and get a good return on their initial 30million investment.
As per the reports, Shaw has failed to convince Mourinho of his ability and desire to play for Man United and thus will be sold to make way for another left back before the start of next season.
