Cristiano Ronaldo hints at Manchester United return

Cristiano Ronaldo appears to have moved one step closer to his much awaited Manchester United return, after the Real Madrid superstar reportedly hired the famous tax specialist lawyer Jose Antonio Choclan, reports El Mundo.

Ronaldo appears to have accepted defeat in his tax fraud case in Spain, and is ready to move back to the English Premier League, with Manchester United ready to welcome home their former hero.

El Mundo has revealed that Choclan also represents Jose Mourinho and David de Gea has, perhaps, been brought to negotiate a deal with Real Madrid, who will not let him leave easily.

Super agent Jorge Mendes also works with both Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo, which has also been taken into factor as Ronaldo continued to flirt with the idea of his Old Trafford return.

Ozil opens the door for Mourinho

Could the duo start working together again?

Reports in Germany indicate that Mesut Ozil's contract talks with Arsenal have hit a dead end and that the German playmaker is keen to join hands with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

According to Sport Witness, Ozil has not been offered a new contract despite entering the last year of his stay at Emirates.

The former Real Madrid star will be allowed to agree on a contract with a new club next January, for a summer move away from Arsenal, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United interested in the playmaker's signing.

Despite the reports, Jose Mourinho would struggle to fit Ozil into his current system, as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba are front runners to play in the number 10 role and Ozil's lack of pace would not make him the ideal man to play on either of the wings.

£100 million set aside for Antoine Griezmann

Club Atletico de Madrid v Valencia CF - La Liga
Griezmann looks like he's Old Trafford bound

Manchester United are extremely keen on signing Antoine Griezmann in January or next summer, and Ed Woodward has been asked to set aside £100 million for the striker's transfer, reports Don Balon.

Griezmann looked a certainty this summer, before Atletico Madrid's late transfer ban changed the scenario. Griezmann has since been growing frustrated with Atletico's push for the title and is believed to be planning a move for 2018, when their transfer ban ends.

There has not been any progress of Diego Costa's reported arrival, while players like Jan Oblak, Yannick Carrasco, and Saul Niguez continue to be linked with a move away from the club.

Griezmann has also been influenced by Paul Pogba's presence at Old Trafford, who he has become very close friends with, in recent months.

United will look to sign another attacker next season when Zlatan Ibrahimovic will finally bid his farewell. For now, Griezmann tops the list with Gareth Bale, Thomas Lemar and Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly being discussed as other options.
