Hit: Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)
He started in the striker's role for Manchester City against PSG last night. But Bernardo Silva was an excellent false nine, particularly with his underlapping runs to the byline, which got City in behind the PSG defence.
A thorn in the face of PSG, the Portuguese ace twice forced finger-tip saves from Navas, while seeing a chance for Ilkay Gundogan come off the post. But there was no denying Silva the assist for Jesus' winner.
He squared a perfectly-weighted cross from Mahrez for the Brazilian to bury home with less than 15 minutes remaining.
Flop: Achraf Hakimi (PSG)
Defensively, Achraf Hakimi was sound, keeping Sterling in check until his goal, but his offensive play left a lot to be desired. In fact, the Moroccan struggled to make any meaningful impact going forward, because he simply didn't get many chances to do so.
City's high press kept Hakimi busy for much of the time. Whenever PSG were on the front foot, he didn't get much on the ball, barring one clear instance.
An amazing touch on the volley sent Hakimi scorching down the right in acres of space. But the Moroccan passed too early, and it was a poor ball that Joao Cancelo easily intercepted.
Hit: Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City)
An infectious fireball of energy and full of on-the-ball skills, Riyad Mahrez was at his menacing best last night. He cut inside and almost scored Manchester City's opener in the first half.
Much of City's attacking impetus came through him on the right. Mahrez made four key passes, completed four crosses and mustered five shots in total, including three on target.
It's not surprising that Mahrez played a big part in City's winning goal too. He helped stitch together a lovely cross for Bernardo Silva to square it for Jesus, who scored.
