#3 Huddersfield should fear their future in the league
Facing Chelsea and Huddersfield in your first two games of the season, Huddersfield could be forgiven for their fragility.
Wagner's set-up failed to stop Chelsea who left the John Smith's Stadium with a 3-0 win, and the Terriers were once again powerless when facing City, being swept aside with ease.
Huddersfield finished 16th, ending the season only four points from the drop. They did some rather decent business over the summer, including signing Kongolo for a club-record fee. But are they still strong enough to remain in the league in comparison to the even heavier invested teams like Fulham or Wolves? Time will tell.
#4 Mendy provides a new outlet to City
Benjamin Mendy is like a new signing for this City side.
Having spent the majority of last season injured, despite still collecting a Premier League and World Cup medal, Mendy followed up his two assists at the Emirates last week with another on Sunday.
His ability to overlap his winger and drive at his opponents is an upgrade to what Delph offered last season, and Mendy is sure to continue the season as a key aspect of Guardiola's title-retention plan.
