#1 Best goal difference in a season
When Carlo Ancelotti's Chelsea won their 2009-10 Premiere League campaign scoring a record breaking 103 goals, they had only conceded 32 times. The goal difference was an incredible +71. That is still the record for the best goal difference in a Premiere League campaign, but if City breaks the most goals scored total this year they should also loosen Chelsea's hold on this record.
With eight games to go and with a goal difference of +65, City are definitely capable of bagging this record too. City have conceded 20 goals all season. As predicted they can go on to score 107 goals and most likely will concede only a few. Ederson Moraes has 14 clean sheets, only one behind David De Gea who has 15 against his name.
Well this too can change and Ederson may even grab the Golden Glove if he manages to do better than the Spaniard in the next eight fixtures. Another accolade for the Sky Blues of Manchester.
Key players: Ederson (Gk) has to be given credit for this one as he has been a wall in front of goal. Assisted by Otamendi, Stones and Walker, this City defence is a tough nut to crack. Conceding only 20 goals (best in the league) so far in 30 games played, they are almost certain to make this record their own. Not forgetting, their attacking forces of Aguero, Jesus, Sane and Sterling.
Prediction: All bets on City as they seem on course to break Chelsea's record.
